Paraski Belgium

Paraski Belgium vzw aims to build a robust volunteer organization for ambitious sit-skiers. Therefore, the non-profit organizes training programs for every adaptive skier in a sit-ski who wants to train regularly (weekly) throughout the ski season in Belgium to enhance their skills and independence. We plan to offer advanced technique training, race techniques, and participation in slalom, giant slalom, and/or Super G competitions. Additionally, the non-profit is developing an adaptive demo team for synchronized skiing, which will compete both nationally and internationally in synchronized skiing events. The organization is also actively fundraising to support its athletes in competing in international tournaments.

Activities

The sporting activities are focused on three main areas:

Basic, advanced, and competitive training in Belgium aimed at personal development, participation in competitions, and progression to the Belgian Paralympic team.
Training and support for a Belgian demo team that aspires to perform sit-ski demos at a high level both domestically and at international events.
Logistical and financial support through attracting sponsorships for active sit-ski members who advance to the international competition circuit.

Support

Paraski.be is dedicated to empowering adaptive athletes by providing them with the training, resources, and opportunities they need to excel. However, we can’t do it alone.

Your financial and logistical support is crucial in helping our athletes reach their full potential, whether it’s by competing in national and international tournaments or developing essential life skills through sport. Every contribution, big or small, makes a significant impact on our journey. We extend our heartfelt thanks to those who already support us—your generosity is the driving force behind our success. Join us in making a difference today!

Members

Paraski Belgium targets both advanced sit-skiers and those with a basic level of sit-ski technique. Each member aims to develop maximum independence in the sit-ski as quickly as possible, with guidance focused primarily on athletic and technical self-sufficient progress. Individual limitations are always taken into account.

Paraski Belgium supports three Flemish representatives on the Belgian Paralympic team, who have found their home base not only at Snowworld Antwerp but also in Tignes. Throughout the season, they are trained by Stephan Sazio, a former FIS athlete and coach of the Belgian team.
